There are many ways to make an HTML ASCII arrow (without using images). I always hated the > arrow, since it’s too big and with NOT cool proportions. So here you are some good choises:
> old crap arrow
» caporal arrow (ALT + 0187)
« reverse caporal arrow (ALT + 0171)
› segret cool arrow (don’t know what’s this char from)

Ew, no.
These are _not_ _arrows_. That’s a less-than sign, and quotation marks for certain languages. If you want to use arrows, use the actual HTML entities:
