There are many ways to make an HTML ASCII arrow (without using images). I always hated the > arrow, since it’s too big and with NOT cool proportions. So here you are some good choises:
> old crap arrow
» caporal arrow (ALT + 0187)
« reverse caporal arrow (ALT + 0171)
› segret cool arrow (don’t know what’s this char from)

emh… asd… lol… yes, there are not arrows, but these are useful to tell that a text is a link: link > and (tnx for submission) link → call them as like. |

I wish there was an arrow that poined left and up so you could have a column of tick boxes and say “click here to tick the boxes” and arrow was like: |

Ew, no.
These are _not_ _arrows_. That’s a less-than sign, and quotation marks for certain languages. If you want to use arrows, use the actual HTML entities:
