With the SiteOrbiter web cartography tool, you can gain insight into the structural components of a web site with a few clicks of the mouse.
SiteOrbiter is a visual reporting tool for web developers and administrators. It enables the user to:
* Graphically report on broken or moved links to both local and remote web addresses
* Instantly understand a web site’s complexity and depth
* Search across the entire site for particular page characteristics, such as number of inbound or outbound links, find all links to a particular page or type of page, or http information.
* Track changes to a site over time.
* View HTTP headers for any page on the site.
* Export a comma delimited spreadsheet of the site characteristics.
* Export a PDF map of the site for documentation
* Scale the number of sites you can administer and manage
* Download sites to the local disk
* Generate site maps in XML or HTML
* Build site reports on local or on remote sites
* Call out to remote services for information about a particular page or object found on your site
My comment (after some tries):
This is tool is not as nice as I wish. The main feature (the cartography map) is quite useless because all the label are overlapping and the map is a mess. Take a look at the screenshot of mozilla.com site (2 levels). Maybe this tool can only be useful to mirror a site or to check 404 links.

Well I sincerely enjoyed studying it. This subject procured by you is very effective for correct planning.
