Una serie di 8 puntate tratta da un blog di una prostituta di alto livello londinese. Ogni puntata dura 30 minuti ed è piacevolmente ironica e ben construita. Qui potete vedere la prima puntata direttamente online. Se siete stufi di aspettare la prossima puntata di lost, vi consiglio vivamente di dare uno sguardo a questa miniserie (sono già state commissionate altre 12 puntate, visto il successo avuto in UK e negli US).

Dopo lunghe ricerche ho trovato un software che mi permette di trasformare le puntate delle mie serie televisive in un formato adatto all’ipod touch o all’iphone. Un solo software mi ha permesso di mantenere il procedimento estremamente semplice e mi ha permesso di includere i sottotoli nel file convertito mp4.

Questo software che vi consiglio di provare si chiama Viddyup (è giunto alla versione 1.8.2). Il programma non è gratuito, ma costa solamente 9$ (che al cambio italiano diventano circa 7 euro – veramente un’ottima scelta da parte degli sviluppatori quella di mantenere il costo del software così basso).

Vi segnalo che ViddyUp riesce a leggere i file dei sottotitoli srt e in automatico codifica anche il sottotitolo se il file corrispondente è stato chiamato con lo stesso nome del filmato. Il render del testo è davvero molto chiaro (testo in bianco con ombra nera – vedete l’immagine del post) e permette ottima leggibilità anche sullo schermo del touch / iphone.

Il 24 settembre 2007 (lunedì) verrà trasmessa in America la prima puntata della seconda serie di Heroes. Preparate le vostre armi (client torrent e gli account sui vari forum che forniscono i sottotitolo della serie) e ci rivediamo qui mercolì o giovedì a parlare della nuova serie. Buon divertimento!!

JERICHO is a drama about what happens when a nuclear mushroom cloud suddenly appears on the horizon, plunging the residents of a small, peaceful Kansas town into chaos, leaving them completely isolated and wondering if they’re the only Americans left alive. Fear of the unknown propels Jericho into social, psychological and physical mayhem when all communication and power is shut down. The town starts to come apart at the seams as terror, anger and confusion bring out the very worst in some residents. Though the cloud appears in the distance, it affects all the residents in Jericho, including Dale Turner (Erik Knudsen), the 16-year-old trailer park kid everybody picks on, who finds himself in a position that could change his status; Robert Hawkins (Lennie James), a mysterious stranger who seems to be a jack-of-all-trades as he steps in to help restore order; Heather Lisinski (Sprague Grayden), a pretty young schoolteacher on the bus with her students returning from a class trip when the glare from the explosion causes a terrible accident; Emily Sullivan (Ashley Scott), Jake’s high school sweetheart who lives outside of town and innocently goes about her business unaware of the catastrophe, Bonnie Richmond (Shoshannah Stern), a pretty 17-year-old who is hearing impaired; and Bonnie’s older brother Stanley (Brad Beyer), Jake’s best friend from childhood and an avid car lover who works on the family farm. In this time of crisis, as sensible people become paranoid, personal agendas take over and well-kept secrets threaten to be revealed, some people will find an inner strength they never knew they had, and the most unlikely heroes will emerge.

Why Heroes is better than Lost:

1. Lost S01 was great, Lost S02 was a bit less great and Lost S03 is all a filler..
2. Heroes is set on suspension of disbelief. Lost is based on a fake realism.
3. Heroes has a great and balanced plot. Has Lost a plot?
4. Lost drifted to a soap..
5. I love superheroes
6. Heroes has better (and more) actors
7. Subplots of Heroes are really more interesting and better combined with the plot.

Weeds:
Mary Louise Parker, Elizabeth Perkins, and SNL alum Kevin Nealon lend some star power to this quirky comedy-drama. After her husband passes away, Parker’s single mother finds a way to make ends meet by becoming the local pot dealer in the fictional suburb of Agrestic, California.

Heroes:
The awesome special effects, engaging storylines, strong performances, and comic book overtones seem to have made Heroes one of the top shows of the year.

Battlestar Galactica:
Loosely based on the original series from the 1970s, this new interpretation has been warmly welcomed by fans and critics alike. While holding somewhat true to the original’s basic plot, this newly imagined series benefits from some killer action, intriguing plotlines, an experienced and deft cast, and smooth special effects.

Studio60:
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is an American NBC dramatic television series that takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy show (which is called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), whose format is similar to NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The fictional show-within-a-show is run by head writer Matt Albie (Matthew Perry) and producer/director Danny Tripp (Bradley Whitford).

Lost:
Oceanic Flight 815 out of Sydney, Australia is mysteriously brought down out of the sky, crashing on an uncharted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The survivors quickly learn they must band together in order to have any hope of rescue, because the island is treacherous and holds many secrets. As they are about to learn, the survivors have secrets of their own . . .
