I tried the tape method,even with more tape but could not get the card out after the, then read on Toms hardware by Jeco, to move the tab to the middle position and Kaboom it worked.

had multiple layers of tape but it finally worked, the card reader is ruined from son trying to put the card in upside down

This tape thing worked for me with only two layers of tape covering half the card (not a tiny, but a wider cut) :)

Please do yourself a favor and get “The SD Formatter [it] was created specifically for SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards. It is strongly recommended to use the SD Formatter instead of formatting utilities provided with operating systems which format various types of storage media. These generic utilities may result in less than optimal performance for SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards.”

One thing I’d like to say is the fact before purchasing more computer memory, consider the machine within which it could well be installed. When the machine can be running Windows XP, for instance, the memory threshold is 3.25GB. Putting in above this would merely constitute any waste. Make sure one’s mother board can handle the particular upgrade quantity, as well. Good blog post.
