[...] Max Kiesler ha pubblicato un elenco di trenta tutorial e demo per implementare AJAX per piccole funzionalità od effetti e successivamente un elenco di altri sessanta tutorial sempre sullo stesso argomento. Io, intanto, tramite downlaodblog, vi segnalo una piccola applicazioncina web che permette di crearsi dei piccoli loader personalizzati per le vostre applicazioni ajax enabled: AjaxLoad. Tramite AjaxLoad è possibile stabilire il colore di sfondo e quello del cursore e di generarlo successivamente come gif animata. Il tutto ovviamente nell’interfaccia più web-2.0 possibile, con tanto di badge “beta version”. Per i più pigri vi segnalo due siti che raccolgono una serie di gif animate web 2.0 per avere, senza problemi, il proprio indicatore di attività Ajax: Napyfab e Mentalized.net. Infine, per rendere la propria applicazione 100% Ajax Enabled, il sito AjaxLessons.com ci propone un bel tutorial su come creare il proprio Badge Web 2.0 con Photoshop, magari per creare l’oramai diffuso badge colorato con la scritta “beta version”! Un altro interessante tutorial ce lo propone il blog di Bartelme Design: qui potete vedere la prima parte e la seconda parte della creazione di una “spilletta” colorata sempre con Photoshop. Per finire, per essere sempre aggiornati sul mondo ajax e sul web 2.0, vi segnalo Ajax Blog. un aggregatore dei migliori Blog che parlano di Ajax (ancora tutto in inglese, ma a breve dovrebbe iniziare a leggere i feed anche di siti italiani del settore, come OnAjax). UPDATE: Una dimenticanza non da poco sarebbe quella di non segnalare le gif animate di San Baldo (giunto alla release 2.0 del suo blog!) : ne trovate alcune molto carine qui e qui! [...]

Interesting how VISTA has taken use of the Firefox 1.5 busy icon and now employed it into the entire operating system. I suppose you can’t really ‘copyright’ a busy icon – and there may be some sort of merit in saying that certain busy icons tend to work better than others, both in the way they communicate to the user and their easiness on the eye. It seems that the Firefox one has certainly become some sort of industry standard.
